Most Liked

The standout feature of Crazy Cajuns' Boiling Pot is undoubtedly the seafood platters—think generous portions of crawfish, shrimp, and fresh fish, all seasoned with classic Cajun spices. Diners rave about the gumbo, particularly the seafood variety, which is rich in flavor and perfect for those who love a comforting bowl.

Another crowd favorite is the BBQ shrimp, which packs a punch with its smoky flavor. The outdoor seating is a hit, especially on pleasant evenings when live music fills the air, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Many have noted that the portions are substantial, ensuring you leave with a satisfied stomach. Plus, the attentive staff enhances the overall experience, making every visit enjoyable.

Most Disliked

Some diners have pointed out that during peak hours, particularly Fridays around lunchtime, the restaurant can get quite busy. It’s not uncommon to encounter longer wait times, especially for seating and food service. While this bustling environment is great for energy, it can occasionally detract from a more relaxed dining experience.

A few guests have mentioned that the noise level can rise considerably when the restaurant fills up, which might not be ideal for those seeking a quiet meal. Additionally, some patrons found the casual vibe lacking for special occasions; it's more suited for a laid-back family night out rather than a formal dinner setting. However, for most, the food quality more than compensates for any minor drawbacks.

Okay this was absolutely amazing! I sat outside it was beautiful weather. By the way on Thursdays they have a guy that comes to play guitar from between 5:30 and 7:30 I think The food was absolutely to die for, it was great I got the seafood platter and with it came a side which I got jalapeno black eyed peas. Also got a little bowl of gumbo, it was amazing. Great food great Cajun style great taste, the server was really really really really really really friendly she was really really really kind, This place is phenomenal. I'm glad to know that it's not too far down the road! The restaurant was really clean there wasn't dishes everywhere. There was no trash everywhere there was no trash on all the tables, it was a clean store, and it's got a great authentic Cajun look and smell, it was great!

I HAVE to stop by every time I come to Birmingham. Food is always fantastic. Cajun outside New Orleans at it's best. I strongly suggest the seafood rotini.

I have eaten here in many occasions and each and every time the food was delicious. I got what they called the Crazy Cajun Poboy that was their version of the roast beef Poboy they made with pork roast. I found the chunks of meat to be a little large but manageable. The flavor was very good. I have in the past gotten the crawfish Poboy and enjoyed it greatly. Others in my party got other dishes they also enjoyed. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal.
